Conditions of Contract Vuokatti Safaris Ltd

In addition to general terms for package tours these special payment and cancellation conditions apply to package tours by Vuokatti Safaris Ltd. Vuokatti Safaris Ltd is registered in the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority’s register of package travel companies and has lodged a security against advanced payments made by customers. Registration number 1108/17/Mj.

Online store

Vuokatti Safaris Ltd (business id 1908282-7) offers extensive range of excursions in Vuokatti. In the wintertime excursions include for example snowmobile- and Husky Safaris and in the summertime tours in Husky arena and water activities. From the Online store different excursions from the weekly schedule can be bought. Online store also has adventure packages including accommodation in Vuokatti which can be booked on all dates available on the online store. Scheduled excursions/adventure packages depart on specific dates and time, listed in your booking confirmation email. It’s the customer’s responsibility to be ready for departure, at the stated date and time. Shall the customer, for whatever reason (e.g. missed flight, bad weather, illness, accidents or other unforeseeable events), miss the departure; Vuokatti Safaris Ltd is under no obligation to neither refund nor provide any compensation. Please contact your insurance company for advice.

Booking of the excursion

Excursions can be booked from the online store by first choosing the date and excursion by adding them to the shopping basket. All contact details are handled confidentially. Personal data requested when booking the excursion is only used for the order to register. When making a purchase from the online store, you have committed to Conditions of Contract.

In some tours, departures are subject to a minimum amount of passengers. In these cases, Vuokatti Safaris Ltd will contact the relevant suppliers/service providers and get confirmation. If these minimum passengers requirement is not met, Vuokatti Safaris Ltd will notify you with the cancellation. Should the excursion be cancelled due to these reasons, Safaris will refund all payments. However, Safaris is under no obligation to provide any compensation in these cases.

Booking of adventure package

Adventure packages can be booked from the online store by first choosing the adventure package, date and accommodation and then by adding them to the shopping basket. All contact details are handled confidentially. Personal data requested when booking the excursion is only used for the order to register. When making a purchase from the online store, you have committed to Conditions of Contract. Vuokatti Safaris reserves the right to cancel bookings when services are not available (e.g. when accommodation is unavailable, etc.).

Payment Methods

Bookings without payment can’t be done via our online store. Payment can be done by online bank service or by multiple credit card.

Payment Service Provider

Paytrail Plc acts as a collecting payment service provider and is an authorized Payment Institution. Paytrail Plc will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement. Paytrail Plc will forward the payment to the merchant. For reclamations, please contact the website the payment was made to.

Order Confirmation

After successful booking, you will get order confirmation to your email. In order to get the order confirmation, your email address is obligatory when making the booking. Please check the order confirmation and inform Vuokatti Safaris immediately of any mistakes (dates etc.). If Vuokatti Safaris is not informed, the passenger will be considered responsible for the mistake.

Cancellation terms of excursions

Cancellation fee of 10% is charged if cancelled 30 days or less before the event
Cancellation fee of 50% is charged if cancelled 14 days or less before the event
Cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled 7 days or less before the event
Cancellations by phone +358 40 9115 323 or by email info@vuokattisafaris.com. Vuokatti Safaris Ltd can cancel booked excursion without a charge with a good reason (for example lack of snow). If Vuokatti Safaris Ltd cancels excursion, client gets full refund.

 

Cancellation terms of adventure packages

The passenger may cancel the tour without special reason as follows:
*Until 28 days prior to departure by paying the office fee 100€ per person
*Later than 28 days but no later than 7 days prior to departure by paying 50% of the price of the adventure package
*If the adventure package is cancelled later than 7 days prior to departure, the tour operator has the right to charge the full price of the tour.

Passenger’s right to cancel the tour because of a major occurrence:
According to “General terms for package tours” (5.1 a.b) a passenger has the right to cancel the tour because of a major occurrence. However, Vuokatti Safaris Ltd applies to these tours the law for package tours (15 § 2 mom.) which gives a tour operator the right to charge a reasonable compensation for necessary costs caused by the cancellation (like pre-paid accommodations, safaris etc.). Any refund the tour operator possibly gets from the companies, as well as the own profit, will be refunded to the passenger.

Validity of prices

All rates quoted or shown in our tariffs are based on current purchasing prices. Vuokatti Safaris Ltd reserves the right to change prices already quoted or published at the website and/or price lists without notice in the event of currency fluctuation, government taxes, or due to any other cost increases that are outside Vuokatti Safaris Ltd control. Prices listed on Vuokatti Safaris Ltd are per person, unless otherwise specified.

We reserve the right to alter the prices of any of the day tours, packages, holidays and other services shown in our website. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your booking after it has been confirmed. However, occasionally, changes do occur. Most are minor and you will be informed as soon as possible if there is time before your departure. Should you need to pay additional fee, you will have the option of doing so. However if you choose to cancel your booking, you will get a full refund. No compensation will be paid and Vuokatti Safaris Ltd shall have no further liability to you.

If a package or tour is cancelled due to situations beyond our control or minimum numbers not being reached we will refund the money you have paid. No compensation will be paid and Vuokatti Safaris Ltd shall have no further liability to you.

Liability

Vuokatti Safaris Ltd disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, accidents, sickness or changes in schedules caused by weather, strikes or any other irregularity outside Vuokatti Safaris Ltd control. Vuokatti Safaris Ltd reserve the right to alter routes, itineraries or departure times, without prior notice, should the necessity arise.
All information on vuokattisafaris.com (the website) is subject to change and we reserve the right to alter/change/correct mistakes that may possibly appear in the website. These General booking conditions are subject to change and we reserve the right to alter/change/correct/ update these conditions without notice.

Insurances

All excursions are protected with liability insurance. On our Snowmobile Safaris excess share is at most 950€ per person. It is essential that a passenger is covered by adequate personal travel insurance.

Delayed/cancelled flights

Vuokatti Safaris Ltd is not in a position to offer a passenger any assistance in the event of delay at the outward or homeward point of departure. The airline concerned will be responsible for a passenger in the event of flight cancellation or delays.

Complaints

If you have a problem during your holiday, please inform Vuokatti Safaris Ltd immediately so that Vuokatti Safaris Ltd can endeavour to put things right. If your complaint cannot be resolved locally, you must lodge a written complaint with us within 2 months of your return.
